★「東西南北を使って」とは、「方位磁針を使って」ですね。

「“ジグザグ”は日本語でない？」6/10

３年の理科で必要に迫られて英文を使います。

「ジグザクになる。」を英語にすると「Become zigzag.」

「あれ？zigzag（ジグザク）って日本語でなく英語？」

宮﨑和先生に質問。

「英語みたいですよ。」

念のためタリア先生にも質問。

「英語です。」

「由来は英語圏の言葉ですか？」

「うーん、フランス語ではないと思うけど。」

どうしても引っかかるので“ジグザク”の語源は”で検索。

フランス語の「ノコギリの歯」が由来というのが有力とされています。
